What is Selector?

Selector is a secure online subscription service which offers our corporate clients and their nominated third-parties a platform for all our corporate services. It caters for all electronic information requirements by giving the ability to access shareholder and employee details, create reports to analyse data, and transfer files to and from Equiniti in an encrypted format.

What are the features?

Account Enquiry

The Account Enquiry service allows you immediate access to information about your company's shareholders and employee share scheme participants. You can locate and view individual and corporate shareholder account details including:

• share balances and indicative share price values
• recent balance movements on most securities
• details of recent dividends including dividend rate and tax amount
• employee schemes holdings e.g. Sharesave, SIP, profit sharing and Executive options including balances, indicative values, monthly savings and savings to date

Analyse and Report

Selector's flexible reporting service allows you to analyse data from your register. You can do this by choosing from a series of generic reports or your own unique reports by selecting information from a number of different parameters.

Further flexibility allows you to select the output format you require. The choices are:

• HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up Language) which allows you to view data through a web browser.
• XML (Extensible Mark-up Language) which is a very flexible means of transferring data between systems.
• CSV (Comma Separated Value) file which is a very common format for exchanging data. This option is popular for loading data into a spreadsheet.

Secure File Transfer

Selector's secure file transfer services represent a significant step up in security from using e-mail. All files transferred are protected by data encryption and the technology is accessible through a normal web browser.

Other services

In addition, the following services are also available:

• Consolidated Dividends Service - This subscription service is designed for CREST participants and enables users to apply payment instructions automatically across their member accounts and download reconciliation information electronically instead of paper tax vouchers.


• Institutional Proxy Service - IPS is designed for nominees, large shareholders and voting agents, enabling users to upload voting instructions in bulk using an industry-standard file format. The service includes the ability to upload a CSV file, or input data directly into a web-based interface, allowing agents to submit voting instructions quickly and easily without having to develop special software.


• Web Service - Selector's web service give clients and agents of Equiniti the ability to interface directly with information held on Shareview using XML messaging. This makes Shareview services much more flexible, providing the basis for building 'web services' which, for example, enables our clients to offer customised versions of Shareview pages to their shareholders and employees.
