Who we are 

Equiniti Group is a leading business services provider delivering complex administration and payment solutions to over 2,000 clients in the UK public and private sectors. Operating through a number of specialist brands, the Group provides a range of pension and HR services and is the leader in the UK share registration market.

The Equiniti Group was formed in 2010 with the bringing together of two complementary business process services (BPS) businesses, Equiniti and Xafinity. Both Equiniti and Xafinity have a unique heritage in the specialist markets in which they operate, and the combined resources and offering of both creates an enhanced service and proposition for clients and positions the new Equiniti Group as a major provider of BPS solutions..

Equiniti Group has over 3,000 employees in 22 office locations and supports over 2,200 clients in both the public and private sectors including 50% of the FTSE

What we do

Equiniti Group is the leader in the UK share registration market and a major player in the fast growing HR and pensions services markets. Equiniti is also the sixth largest BPS provider in the UK (TechMarketView, 2011). The Group’s core capabilities include:

 + Pension Solutions including pensions, employee share plans, flexible benefits, payroll and consulting

 + Commercial Solutions we provide complex administration and payments solutions including money transmission, administration, customer interactions and consulting solutions

Board of Directors 

Kevin Beeston, Chairman
Kevin Beeston, Chairman

Kevin Beeston joined the Equiniti Board as Chairman in September 2011.
He was the Chairman of Serco Group plc from 2002 to 2010, having previously served as Serco Group's Chief Executive and Finance Director. An accountant by training, Kevin joined Serco in 1985 and contributed to the company developing from a small UK technical services business to a leading FTSE100 international outsourcer.
Kevin holds a number of non-executive roles and is Chairman of UK developer and homebuilder Taylor Wimpey plc, Chairman of warranty services provider Domestic and General, Chairman of the independent provider of secure mental health services Partnerships in Care Limited, and Non-Executive Director of FTSE100 engineering group IMI plc.
From 2006-2009 Kevin chaired the CBI’s Public Services Strategy Board, which promotes the role of business in transforming UK public services, and he was also a Commissioner for the TUC’s Commission on Vulnerable Employment.



Wayne Story, Chief Executive Officer
 Wayne Story is the Chief Executive Officer of the Equiniti Group having been appointed to the role following the creation of Equiniti Group in March 2010. Prior to this Wayne was CEO and previously MD of Operations at Equiniti and was responsible for overseeing the business entering the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) market in 2009. Wayne has been with Equiniti since 2008 and has overseen a successful change programme that has seen significant enhancements in service and business growth during his tenure.
Wayne has a track record of growing businesses and significant experience in the BPO market including a successful spell as MD of HR business at Capita, growing revenue by £100m and achieving triple digit growth. At Capita Wayne was responsible for negotiating high profile outsourcing contracts with FTSE100 businesses and high profile Public Sector bodies. Wayne has also held senior roles at TSB Group, PPP Healthcare, PA Consulting Group and CSG. Wayne is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and holds an MBA.



Alasdair Marnoch, Chief Financial Officer
Alasdair Marnoch is the Chief Financial Officer of the Equiniti Group and was appointed to the role in March 2010. Prior to his appointment Alasdair was Chief Financial Officer for Xafinity, a £150m turnover business and a leading supplier of Pensions Services in the UK market. Alasdair has been with Xafinity since May 2006 and has been involved in a number of high profile acquisitions, including the sale of Xafinity to Advent International in January 2010. Alasdair has also overseen a successful period of growth and strong financial performance during his tenure.

Alasdair joined Xafinity from Jarvis plc, where he was Group Finance Director leading a complex and successful refinancing exercise. Prior to this, Alasdair was Group Finance Director at Dunlop Slazenger. Previously, Alasdair held a number of senior financial management positions in other leading companies such as Thames Water and BMW.




James Brocklebank, Non-Executive Director
James Brocklebank is a Managing Director at Advent International. James joined Advent in 1997, moving from the London office of investment bank Baring Brothers where he advised clients on various international mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that he worked in the New York offices of Dillon, Read & Co., then an affiliate of Barings, focusing on transatlantic transactions. James led Advent’s investments in Equiniti and WorldPay and has also participated in a number of other investments including Monext, Tertio Limited, Cybercity A/S, MACH Sarl, and Dan Net A/S. James has an MA in geography from Cambridge University. James is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Nomination Committee.



Sir Rod Aldridge OBE, Non-Executive Director
Sir Rod Aldridge is the founder and Chairman of the Capita Group until his retirement in July 2006. During his tenure he led the group from its formation in 1984 within the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) to being a FTSE 100 Company. Prior to Capita, Sir Rod worked in local government for ten years, where he qualified as a chartered public accountant. He joined CIPFA in 1974, ultimately becoming its technical director. In July 2006, Sir Rod established the Aldridge Foundation to continue with his work on public service reform and to focus on his charitable activities involving educational underachievement and social exclusion. He was awarded a knighthood in 2011 for services to young people.

Sir Rod is a Patron of the Prince’s Trust and Chair of V, a charity launched in May 2006 aiming to increase the involvement of 16 – 25 year olds in volunteering and community action. He is also Chairman of The Lowry, a theatre and arts venue in Salford and a board member of the NESTA Lab, aimed to transform the UK’s capacity for innovation. Sir Rod was Chairman of the CBI’s Public Services Strategy Board from its inception in 2003 until July 2006. Rod is a member of the Audit Committee.



Oliver Neidermaier PhD, Non-Executive Director
Oliver Neidermaier is a former member of the senior executive team of Australian-listed Computershare, a leading global provider of financial market services and technology to the global securities industry. Oliver joined the Computershare group executive committee following its 2004 acquisition of Pepper Technologies AG , an international CRM software and consultancy business which he founded in 1998. Responsible for corporate strategic development during an active period in Computershare’s international expansion, he was also CEO of Computershare subsidiary, Georgeson. Oliver was previously a Non-Executive Director of Tecis Group, a Dax-100 listed financial services company (subsequently acquired by AWD). Oliver is the founder and currently serving as CEO of Sage Holdings, LLC and is a Non-Executive board member of the LMU Entrepreneurship Centre at the University of Munich. Oliver is a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committees.


Nick Rose
Nick Rose, Director
Nick Rose is a Director at Advent International. Nick joined Advent in 2005 from Bain and Company where he worked in their private equity practice on both pre and post acquisition work, with a particular focus on services companies. Nick’s sector focus at Advent is on business and financial services, with a particular emphasis on insurance, banking, speciality finance, and outsourcing companies. Nick has worked on several Advent investments including Towergate, WorldPay, Xafinity, Equiniti, Domestic and General and Financial Dynamics.
